Originally founded as a theatre, this multifaceted cultural space has expanded over the last four years to better serve the needs of diverse local groups and cultural activities. Activities include theatrical performances, cinema screenings, classes and a community gallery. The annual pantomime is the centrepiece of its professional programme.

An award-winning UK emerging artist, currently based at Assembly House studios in Leeds. Whilst serving time in prison for drug offences, Kevin won a national Koestler award for painting at London’s South Bank Centre and since has gained other awards, including The Leonardo de Vinci International artist award in Florence, The Olympic art prize 2021 and The Carravagio Master Artist award presented in Milan. His work has now featured in a number of prominent UK and European exhibitions.

Playhouse East is a new creative arts hub with a 100-seat theatre and diverse studio spaces in Haggerston, East London. The unashamed ambition from husband and wife team, James Alexandrou and Avital Lvova, is to create THE home for new theatre and film. The Playhouse theatre will house groundbreaking new writing under the same roof as their innovative acting studio Actors East, alongside various new creative studios fully serving everything from pre to post production for theatre, TV and film.

A not-for-profit touring theatre company that stages an annual Shakespeare play in London’s open spaces. The aim is to provide a showcase for young, professional actors and many go on to perform with the National Theatre and on the West End. Their Patron is Dame Judi Dench.

TCDT offers free workshops, taught by craft specialists, to students who wish to develop their hand skills. TCDT aims to have 80% of participants from underserved backgrounds. Alumni have pursued careers in architecture, engineering, fine art, jewellery making, art conservation, glass working, theatre design, fashion and costume.
